Gothic; The Rose Window in the South TranseptDelaporte no. 95, Deremble-Manhes no. 122Lancet C: Donor- Alix de ThouarsAlix de Thouars, only child and heir of Guy de Thouars, Duke of Brittany. In 1213, she married Pierre Mauclerc, son of Robert II, Count of Dreux. She wears fashionable 13th century garments, including a barbette (chin strap) and a tourette (flat tart-shaped hat). Her dress bears her arms checky or and azure a bordure gules (for Dreux), a canton ermine (for Brittany). She kneels, raises her hands in prayer, and gazes upwards and to the right. Above her is a trilobed arch supported by pairs of columns with carved capitals. On either side of Alix is stylized foliage.; Rose Windows in the SouthTransept
