Gothic; The St. Eustace WindowDelaporte no. 62, Deremble-Manhes no. 43Panel 12: Eustace and his family leave a city (center)After Eustace was baptized, he was impoverished; his servants and animals all died in an epidemic and his goods were stolen. He decided to sail to Egypt.Eustace (inscription EVSTACIVS) stands at right, wearing a mantle and carrying a staff with a cloth hanging from it over his shoulder. At the extreme right stands the small figure of one of his sons surrounded by abstract trees. Eustace looks to the left, at his wife Theospis who is standing at the gate of a camp holding the hand of the other son. To the left is an elaborate crenellated wall with several towers. Within it is a small building. This is either a city or a military camp. This panel is surrounded by four small panels showing the donors of the window (panels 1-4)Panel 01: Donors- Drapers (lower left)Drapers measure a piece of cloth. One draper sits on a bench at left. He holds a stick, which he uses to measure a piece of cloth held by a man at right.
