Gothic; The St. Eustace Window Delaporte no. 62, Deremble-Manhes no. 43Panel 10: The conversion of Placidus (left)At left a stag stands on a rock . Between its horns is a crucifix. At right Placidus (Inscription PLACIDAS) has dismounted and fallen to his knees. His clasped hands are raised in front of him and a sword hangs from his belt. A hand of God reaches down from a cloud toward him – a ray of red light descends from it to Placidus’ forehead. His horse stands at right. Surrounding the scene are stylized trees.Panel 11: Placidus is baptized (right)At center, Placidus, nude, stands in an octagonal baptismal font. A red ray of light descends from a cloud above to his head. At left is a mitred bishop, behind the bishop stand two other men, one holding a jar. A deacon stands at right, holding a book and the bishop’s crosier. Behind him stands a man holding a white cloth.Placidus is now identified as EVSTACIVS, his name change symbolizing the change in his soul.; The St. Eustace Window
