Gothic; Apollinare and Choirs of Angels Window Delaporte no. 10, Deremble-Manhes no. 36Panel 17: Life of St. Apollinare: Apollinare before RufusHaving heard of Apollinare’s miracles, a highly ranked man named Rufus called Apollinare to heal his sick daughter. However, as he was entering the house, the child died. Rufus declared that the gods had punished him for asking aid from a Christian. Rufus sits at right, on a low platform under an arcade. He has a beard and wears a cap. He lays one hand on Apollinare’s shoulder. Apollinare (haloed) stands at center, wearing the vestments of a bishop, including a mitre. He carries a book in one hand and gestures with the other. Behind him stands another figure (a cleric?).; The St. Apollinare and Choirs of Angels Window
