To the left is an arcade with a door which may represent Anthony’s house. A man in a short tunic stands at left, holding a basket full of round loaves of bread marked with a cross. Anthony, a beardless young man identified by the inscription ANTONIVS, hands bread to a group of four people stands at right; one of them wears a hood, another a cap. Compare with the scene on the base of the trumeau of the South Porch, central portal.; The Anthony Abbot and Paul the Hermit Window
