Sylvester revives the bull with a gesture (this panel).The bull stands at left, tossing its head and rearing up on its hind legs. At rights stands Sylvester, gesturing toward it He has a halo and wears the papal insignia*. Behind him stands a cleric holding a book.* A camelaucum – the white cone-shaped precursor of the mitre (Catholic Encyclopedia, “Mitre”) He carries a staff with a cross at the tip, which might be a “cross of jurisdiction” a type of processional cross “borne before [the Pope] wherever he may be” (Catholic Encyclopedia, “Processional Cross”); The St. Sylvester Window
