Gothic; The Apostles Window Delaporte no. 34, Deremble-Manhes no. 0Panel 19: Philip calls NathanielA barefoot man with a halo stands at left, addressing a man at right, who, though he is barefoot, has no halo. In the background is a large abstract tree with round red fruits. Both Delaporte and Deremble-Manhes identify this scene as the conversion of Nathaniel by Philip (John 1:45). See also Panel 20, where, according to an early 18th century description by Pintard, one of the Apostles is identified with the inscription “Nathanael”.Compare the tree to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in panels 16-18 of the Good Samaritan Window (Delaporte no. 6, Deremble-Manhes no. 44).; The Apostles Window
