Description
Joseph M. talks about his experiences in Homestead, particularly his marriage and various places he lived. He discusses the changes in his housing situation and the difficulties of caring for his wife after she had a stroke. He also talks about his leisure activities, like boxing and running, and mentions places where Black people would gather in Homestead, such as pool rooms and clubs. Joseph M. was active in various churches and organizations, including the Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythian, and Masons. He also talks about wealthy individuals in Homestead including Cumberland Posey.
