The description below is adapted from Delaporte’s Les Vitraux de la Cathedral de Chartres. (p. 422).Lowest register- donors- the turners.A turner is a kind of carpenter who shapes wood on a lathe. The middle registers contain a seated, haloed male figure saint holding a scroll. There are horns on his forehead. There is an inscription MOYSES.The upper register contains the seated figure of St. Bartholomew (barefoot, haloed). He holds a book and a knife, the symbol of his passion. There is an inscription. S.
