Gothic; Apollinare and Choirs of Angels Window Delaporte no. 10, Deremble-Manhes no. 36Panel 24: Life of St. Apollinare: funeral of St. ApollinareApollinare (halo, mitre) lies in his coffin in the foreground. His arms are crossed over his chest. His bier is decorated with quatrefoils alternating with blue circular panels containing with sexfoil flowers and stands on a masonry base. In the background are three figures. To the left of the panel stand a cleric holding an open book. In the center is another cleric. According to Deremble-Manhes , he is sprinkling the body with water from a bucket held by a cleric at right. This cleric also holds a processional cross.
