Description
Gothic; Paul Window Delaporte no. 32, Deremble-Manhes no. 4Panels 18: Paul and an angelThe scene takes place in an interior- there is an arcade with carved capitals in the background. Above it are towers and roofs and there is a large door at right. To the left stands an angel (halo, barefoot), who gestures toward panel 17 at left (Paul and the dying man). The angel looks back at Paul, who stands at right. Paul (halo, barefooted, characteristic facial features), carries a pouch supported by a strap that goes over his shoulder. He seems to move and gesture toward the angel. The identification of this panel is somewhat problematic. It may be that this occurred before the episode in Panel 17 as Paul is going to the dying man. Or it might be a panel displaced from the lower part of the window.; The Paul Window
