Archivolts; Gothic; West Façade, Central Portal, Archivolts - LeftOuter Two Archivolts (left)- Elders of the Apocalypse (Apocalypse, Chapter 4). They are depicted as bearded, haloed men wearing crowns, sitting on thrones and holding musical instruments and vials of perfume.Inner archivolt (center)- Angels standing on clouds. The upper one holds a long scroll, the lower one holds a wheel-like object. (Perhaps this is the symbol for the Thrones- one of the choirs of angels described in Old Testament Book of Ezekiel 1:13-19. - JV)Part of the tympanum (right) - A lion, symbol of the Evangelist Mark.; West Facade, Central Portal
