The University of Pittsburgh Johnstown Archives documents the history of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. In addition to student newspapers, student yearbooks, and photographs, it includes university publications, the minutes of the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown Faculty Senate, administrative files from the office of institutional advancement, theatre department programs, a series of information files on many organizations, events, and campus presidents, and University of Pittsburgh Johnstown memorabilia.
About the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown
The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown is the oldest and largest regional campus in the University of Pittsburgh system since its founding as the Johnstown Junior College in 1927. University of Pittsburgh Johnstown originated in the Kernville neighborhood of Johnstown, moving to the Moxham or “Asphalt” campus in 1946. Since 1967, 655 picturesque acres in the Johnstown suburb of Richland Township has been University of Pittsburgh Johnstown's home.
