About Dave Burrell.
Dave Burrell is a jazz pianist and composer. He first made his name as an innovator in New York's free jazz scene in the mid-1960s, but he performs regularly around the world in a variety of styles, from traditional to avant garde. He has written many extended compositions, including the opera Windward Passages.
