Scope and Content Notes

The Hector Correa Papers, which span the years 1980-2004, consist mostly of manuscripts of Correa's works as well as course proposals and materials from classes he taught. Also included are essays Correa presented at conferences, as well as his published works, most notably including "Decision Rules to Specify the Extent of Division of Labor."

The collection is organized into Correa's abstracts, manuscripts, published works, presented papers, course notes and proposals, and correspondence. The last series includes information regarding Correa's teaching trip to Colombia in 2001.

Biography

Hector Correa was a professor of public and urban affairs at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh for 34 years. He was the director of the Latin American Seminar in Project Design, Evaluation and Implementation, specializing in utilization of quantitative methods and computers for policy analysis, project and program design, evaluation and implementation.
