History
St. Michael's Young Men's Society, a fraternal organization, was organized in 1913 and incorporated in 1923. The aims of the society were "for the development of it's members socially, intellectually and morally, and to advise, instruct and encourage Polish residents of the community to become good citizens of the United States, and to provide mutual relief and assistance to it's members, their families and beneficiaries in accordance with the law and by laws, rules and regulations of the society."

This collection includes 8 minutebooks of St. Michael's Young Men's Society, Sharpsburg Pa., 1913-1953. Volumes 1-3 are in Polish and volumes 4-8 are in English. This collection also includes 11 photocopied newsletters from the Society, 1985-1987.
