History
The Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swissvale, Pa., was founded in 1916. A more detailed history (1950) can be found in the collection along with a 50th Anniversary Booklet. The records also includes a history (1882-1932) of the Evangelical Luthern Concordia Orphans and Old Peoples Home in Jefferson Township, Butler County, Pa.
Scope and Content Notes
The collection spans the years 1916-1989 and consists of 1045 frames on two reels of microfilm. The records include historical materials about the church and related activities; lists of baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and burials; membership and officer information; minutes; and annals of the congregation. The collection also contains fourteen photographs of the church and related activities and part two of The Luthern Witness.
