Abstract
The St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society is a fraternal organization that was established in Manor, Pa., in 1903 as Lodge (Group) #644 of the Polish National Allance. In 1920, the lodge was incorporated as the St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society. The collection consists primarily of six volumes of minutes from 1909-1965. Other records include the original Charter (1904), Constitution and By-laws (1915), historical timeline, and lists of officers.

The St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society is a fraternal organization that was established in Manor, Pa., in 1903 as Lodge (Group) #644 of the Polish National Allance. In 1920, the lodge was incorporated as the St. Joseph Polish Benevolent Society, which was relocated in 1922 to their present building on Walnut Street in Westmoreland City, Pa.
Scope and Content Notes
The records in this collection span the years 1904 to 1979 and consist of 798 frames on one reel of microfilm. The bulk of the collection is six volumes of minutes from 1909-1965. The minutes are in Polish for the years 1909-1965, while only the years 1939-1957 are in English. The collection also includes their original charter from 1904 and their Constitution and By-laws from 1915. Other records include a historical timeline, programs, and lists of present and deceased past officers (1979).
