Scope and Content Notes
St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Records (microfilmed) contain registers of members (1873-?), baptisms (1874-1911), confirmations (1874-1935), marriages (1873-1916), and deaths (1873-1897). Included in the member register are the name of member, name of father/maiden name, birthdate, birthplace, time when joining the church, reason for leaving church, date of death, and children. After 1886, members joining the church, birthdate, birthplace, and date of death are mostly missing. There is also an unidentified register for the years 1873-1887. Researchers should be aware that all registers were not microfilmed in chronological order. For example, the baptism register can be found in two locations on the microfilm. All information is in German.
