The microfilmed records of the Congegation Beth Hamedrash span 1893-1928. The minute book contains minutes in Yiddish from April 16, 1900-Oct. 5, 1926 and minutes from Oct. 18, 1925-July 8, 1928 in English. The volume also contains loose documents: list of officers, trustees, and board of directors from 1925-1926; correspondence; financial reports from 1905-1927 that are intermittent; amendments to by-laws, No. 11, 1914; application for membership.
The general ledger spanning 1904-1913 contains: membership accounts; individual accounts; income of burial ground; reserved plots in cemeteries; income from vows; income from box money; loaned money; small expenditures, fire insurance; seat number accounts. The ledger records are in Yiddish or English.
The record book of pew holders, 1893-1920, is arranged by seat number and contains an alphabetical index. The records are in English. The non-members book, which spans 1913-1928, is written in Yiddish and contains an alphabetical index.
The committee to handle burials volume contains loose burial or removal permits for 1918 and 1924. The information recorded in the volume is: county, municipality, date of birth, full name, age, sex, color, disease causing death, place of burial, undertaker, and address of undertaker.
