Description
Designed by L. Robert Kimball and Associates of Ebensburg, the Zamias Aquatics Center is named in honor of George Zamias, a real estate developer in western Pennsylvania. Featuring a 25-meter swimming pool, the Center also houses a weight room and athletic staff offices. Scheduled to open in late 1988, an accidental explosion, which killed two workmen and injured several others, delayed the opening until 1990.
