Description
Aerial view of Presbyterian Hospital. Chartered in 1893 as Presbyterian Hospital, it would become the central institution of the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center, which was formed in the 1920s under Dr. Raleigh Russell Huggins, Dean of the School of Medicine.. The other institutions were the Falk Clinic, and Elizabeth Steel Magee, Tuberculosis League, Children's, and Eye and Ear hospitals. The current building was constructed in the 1930s. Pitt Stadium can be seen in the upper right corner of the photo.
