Description
The caricature shows Nikolai Bukharin, Alexei Rykov (in the foreground) with a kulak (rich peasant), a capitalist and a priest taking the "opportunistic" path, while Stalin stands by the signpost to Lenin's path. Although he had supported the "Right" approach from 1925-1927, in 1928 Stalin attacked this position which favored individual private farming and a slow, gradual transition to socialism.
