The Chéron Window Delaporte no. 42, Deremble-Manhes no. 15 Panel 1: Donors- Masons at work Left Half: To the left, a hooded man stands at the top of a crenellated tower, checking its verticality with a plumb line. Delaporte suggests he is the master mason. To his right is a man in a short belted tunic and a cap with a chinstrap (coif) holding a double-headed tool with which he cuts the stone. Above them, hangs another tool. Right Half: Two men work on a piece of stone. Both wear short belted tunics; one has a cap with a chinstrap (coif). One holds a chisel while the other wields a hammer to hit it. Above them hang a pair of compasses, a square and what Delaporte suggests is a template for a rib molding. Delaporte also noted what might be a partial plan of a structure. Compare to the donor panels of the St. Sylvester window. This panel is much restored
