Women sit eating cake at a table in the library of Beechwood Elementary School. The Beechwood Elementary School, built in 1908 and designed by Press C. Dowler was designated a Historic Landmark by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation in 1923. The school is still in operation serving elementary students in the Pittsburgh Public School District.
