Description
These contents are taken from a folder on Martin Heidegger that Rudolf Carnap maintained. It includes an annotated copy of Heidegger's "Was Ist Metaphysik?" ("What Is Metaphysics?"), an article Carnap criticized in his "Überwindung der Metaphysik durch Logisce Analyse der Sprache" ("The Elimination of Metaphysics Through Logical Analysis of Language"). There is also a copy of a transcript of the debate between Heidegger and Ernst Cassirer that was held at Davos, Switzerland in 1929. Carnap was in attendance at the conference where this debate occurred. There are newspaper clippings about Heidegger, including some clippings about the debate between Heidegger and Cassirer.
