Description
Joseph M. talks about his frequent trips, sometimes for extended periods, across the country. He had a system of making money by cashing checks, investing, and then returning to the mill job when necessary. These trips weren't necessarily vacations but rather gaps in work due to mill breakdowns or repairs. He enjoyed traveling, seeing different places, and even had a fondness for Columbus, Ohio, ultimately preferring Homestead and smaller towns over big cities. He shared anecdotes about attending baseball games and having a season pass thanks to a friend, Tom Boyd.
