Description
The Crab and the Yamabushi. A Yamabushi and his acolyte encounter the spirit of a crab, which grabs the acolyte in its pincers. Although the Yamabushi prays fervently, not only is the acolyte not freed, but he himself is caught by the crab. Signature: 江 文 [Kōbun]. Seal: Red letter seal in a boat shape: 月岡 [Tsukioka]. Category: Kyōgen (animal play).
