Description
Kanaoka, a famous painter, falls in love with a pretty young maiden. His wife tells him that she could be equally pretty if an artist such as Kanaoka painted her face to be beautiful. He paints a large red dot on each of her cheeks and says that no matter how much you paint it, a crow is still a crow. Mizuta Number: 150. Signature: 耕漁 [Kōgyo]. Seal: White letter seal in a rectangular shape with double border: 湖畔 [Kohan]. Category: Kyōgen (woman play).
