Description
The store originally began as a tin shop in 1884, in a location further down Fourth Street. In 1885, Bossert's moved to its present location and became a hardware store. This shop was the first place in Oakmont where radios were available for purchase. The front window of Bossert's Hardware Store displayed gas ranges and advertisements for Lorain ovens, Valspar and ice cream. Originally from the collection of J. Bossert.
