Description
W. R. Jones’ final resting place, after being killed in an accident at the Edgar Thomson Works. Jones was one of the most famous steel men of the early era of Pittsburgh’s steel industry. He worked as the superintendent of the Edgar Thomson Steel Plant, where Andrew Carnegie paid him an annual salary of $25,000.
