Description
An early picture of the Rust Engineering Company’s first Pittsburgh office, located in the Farmers Bank Building. To the left, Ellsworth Marshall Rust (standing), one of the company’s three founders, discusses a drawing with engineer J. G. Mingle. Four men work at drafting tables to prepare other drawings and blueprints. It is likely that they are working on boiler and chimney jobs – the company’s main specialties at the time.
