Locomotive #25. The Allegheny Valley Railroad (AVRR) was incorporated in 1837 and completed in 1854. It travelled from Pittsburgh to Oil City following the path of the Allegheny River. It connected with other lines making travel possible as far as Philadelphia and New York.
