This scrapbook contains clippings, tickets, programs and memorabilia from the University dating from 1934-1939. Sixty-eight of the pages of the volume have materials on them. Among some of the items contained are a green freshman armband, a Pitt armband, a brochure called "An Institute for the Training of Student Leaders," 1935 commencement program with usher's ribbon, 1935 Senior Queen booklet and many items that document her interests. There is information and memorabilia about the Panhellenic Association and many theater and musical performances.

Mary Jane Beachler attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1934-1938. She received her Bachelors degree in nursing. She was born on March 3, 1917 and died on December 12, 1994. Her married name was Mary Jane Lightcap.
