Abstract
The collection consists of a record book spanning from 1826 to 1840 detailing the financial accounts of Samuel and Isaac Miller’s farm. The records are bound in a single volume and arranged in chronological order. Included are both income and expenses for a variety of farm products and other services including hauling and thrashing. Biography

Isaac and Samuel Miller were the sons of Jacob Miller, a captain in the Pennsylvania militia. Jacob Miller had received the land at Miller’s Hill on the recommendation of the Commander-in-Chief and President of the United States in 1785. The records span from 1826 to 1840.

The records are bound in a single volume and are arranged in chronological order. They record both income and expenses for a variety of products ranging from flour to coal. The names of other parties involved in the transactions are also included.

Custodial History

This collection was located in the Darlington Memorial Library in the University’s Cathedral of Learning until 2007 when it was moved to the ULS Archives Service Center for processing, storage, preservation and service. However, it remains in the custodianship of the ULS Special Collections Department.
