Enoch Wright Ledger, 1829-1845, DAR.1937.34, Darlington Collection, Archives & Special Collections, University of Pittsburgh Library System
Enoch Wright lived in Washington County, Pennsylvania. He and his son, Joseph, leased land to property renters in Washington and Allegheny counties. The rentals included both real estate and tools used for business purposes. The collection consists of a ledger recording the leases made between the Wrights and various renters of their property. Entries are made between 1829 and 1845. The ledger entries are in chronological order. Some entries have later dates on the back of them due to the Wrights writing the receipts of payments on the back of the lease. Receipts of payments made by tenants renting the various properties are included. Several of the pages have receipts and other records pinned to the back of them.
