History
The Bloomfield Liedertafel Singing Society was a German singing group located in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The first record of the society's existence is reflected in meeting minutes from May 10, 1904. In the Bloomfield Liedertafel's Golden Anniversary program it is mentioned that the group was founded in 1885.
The society was a choral group that performed several times a year, occasionally with other area groups. The Singing Society also hosted social events such as picnics and sports days, as well as occasional fundraisers.

This collection reflects the activities of the Bloomfield Liedertafel Singing Society from 1904 to 1965.
The collection consists of a partial reel of microfilm containing the Neben-Gesetze (ordinance book), minute book, and Golden Anniversary program. The ordinance book and minute book are written in German from 1904-1942, while the remainder of the records are in English.
