Abstract
The United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America (UE) Research department is responsible for collecting information on a variety of topics concerning the union. This series includes correspondence, clippings, publications, and reports regarding several competing labor unions in the United States.

Scope and Content Notes

The United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America (UE) Research department is responsible for collecting information on a variety of topics concerning the union. This series includes correspondence, clippings, publications, and reports regarding several labor unions in the United States, including UE competitors: the International Union of Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers (IUE) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in addition to other non-electrical unions. Files include information on contracts and collective bargaining between the unions and companies. Documents regarding elections and jurisdictional raiding are also included. In addition, pages and reproductions from an oversize labor history photo book have been included in this collection.
