Gothic; Pierre Mauclerc on horsebackDeremble-Manhes no. 124C , Delaporte no. 94South Transept ClerestoryRose windowA man in early 13th century armor on horseback . 0n his shield is heraldic arms of the family of the Dreux-Bretagne who also gave several other windows in this transept, including the large Southern rose window. The arms are checky or and azure a bordure gules, a canton ermine. Delaporte identifies him as Pierre Mauclerc, head of the Dreux- Bretagne family. One either side are stylized forms (vegetation?). His heraldic arms also appear in the lobes surrounding the major panel. Restored by Champigneulle in 1884.; South Transept Clerestory Rose: Pierre Mauclerc on horseback
