They use lances with crosses on them to pin down demons who beneath their feet. Like all the other angels in this window, these have a halo, wear tunics and mantles, and are barefooted. Like all but the Cherubim and Seraphim, they have two wings.There are seven Archangels, of whom the best-known are Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. Archangels are God's messenger to the people at critical times such as the Annunciation and Apocalypse. They also lead God’s army of angels in their constant battle with the evil.
