Gothic; Apollinare and Choirs of Angels Window Delaporte no. 10, Deremble-Manhes no. 36Panel 19: Life of St. Apollinare: Apollinare before a judgeBecause he converted many people to Christianity, Apollinare was summoned before a judge, who condemned him to be thrown into prison and left to starve to death. Apollinare (haloed) stands at center, wearing the vestments of a bishop, including a mitre. He carries a book in one hand and gestures with the other. Behind him stands another figure whom Delaporte thinks may be his accuser. The bearded judge sits at right, on a low platform under an arcade with curtains hanging from it.
