Description
View of the design proposal for "Schenley Park Entrance" competition by Kiehnel and Elliott (Pittsburgh). Kiehnel and Elliott started their career in Pittsburgh building the Gardner Steel Conference Center and the First National Bank of Pitcairn. In 1917 they began work on their first commission in Florida where they would do the majority of their work. Their buildings in the Miami and Coral Gables area include the Carlyle Hotel, the Coral Gables Elementary School and the Jackson Memorial Hospital.
