Zeiss Comparator of the Allegheny Observatory. The "Spectrocomparator" was Designed in 1904 by the Company Carl Zeiss Jena, Founded by Noted Optician, Dr. Carl F. Zeiss. The "Stereocomparator" is an Instrument that Permits the Measurement of Relative Distances and Reveals Changes within a Star Field by Comparing One Image Against Another Simultaneously. This Tool Was Invaluable for the Discovery of Many Celestial Wonders Including Asteroids, Comets, and the Discovery of Pluto.
