Description
George Orth, the photographer of this picture, was the vice president and founding member of the Pittsburgh Amatuer Photographers' Society. Using his Blair camera and Prazmowski lens, Orth was able to capture this image of an African American family using two horses to plow a field. (Notice poor condition of fence and building in background.)
