Description
Professional Basketball legend Connie Hawkins shows off some of his defensive skills and tips to young boys at a basketball clinic during the Youth Olympiad. Basketball clinics and sectional playoffs were held across the city at Warrington, Ormsby, Armstrong, Moore, Ammon, Enright, Fowler, Manchester, North View, Fifth Avenue High School, Glen Hazel, Arsenal, and Homewood Fields. Final playoffs were held at the Civic Arena. Hawkins played for the Pittsburgh Rens of the American Basketball League from 1961 to 1963 then played again in Pittsburgh in the 1967-1968 season for the Pittsburgh Pipers of the American Basketball Association before the team moved to Minnesota.
