Description
Center print of a triptych. Kamei Rokurō Shigekiyo 亀井六郎重清 and Musashibō Benkei 武蔵坊弁慶, who are on the ship, are fighting Heike ghosts. A scene from a Kabuki play Yoshitsune senbon sakura 義経千本桜. It is also originally based on a Noh play Funa Benkei 船弁慶. Signature: 一勇斎国芳画 [Ichiyūsai Kuniyoshi ga]. Publisher: 東屋大助 [Azumaya Daisuke].
