Description
A lady waring Jūni-hitoe 十二単, a costume of Heian court. Inscription: comic tanka poem by Hakumosha Manshu 白毛舎万守. There is a very similar print by same artist with different colors of Kimono and a poem. It can be seen at the Museum of Fine Art Boston's digital collection. Title of the print is Lady Fujitsubo (Fujitsubo no nyōgo), from the series Two Beauties from the Tale of Genji (Gengo nikajin). Signature: 岳亭筆 [Gakutei hitsu]. Printed (surimono).
