Virginia Brandes, the cloth-draped blonde on the left, won Miss Willows 1929. Later that year, she also became Miss Majestic. The runner-up is Eleanor Lawrence. People swim in the Willows Pool behind the victorious women, who smile beatifically at the crowd of almost four thousand people that came to watch the pageant at the Willows.
