Identified as Winifred Taylor, Betty Rumbaugh, Kitty Strathern, Rhea Goddell and Mabel Spangler, these five women all had hopes of becoming the Miss Pittsburgh of 1927. Audience members were on both sides of the runway, which is why the girls are not all facing the same direction. They walk along the edge of the Willows Pool, a source of entertainment and recreation over the summer in Oakmont.
