Description
Punt during the November 25, 1989 Pitt loss to Penn State (13-16). Although Pitt lost this game, the 1989 team went on to win the Sun Bowl that year against Texas A and M, under the leadership of Coach Mike Gottfried. This picture was taken at Pitt Stadium, which hosted it's first Pitt game September 1925 and was home to the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1963-1969. Pitt Stadium was demolished December of 1999 to make room for the Peterson Events Center and student housing on the Pitt campus.
